OUR FEATURE

Why Yunnan?

01

Nice Natural Scenery

Yunnan’s natural scenery is really nice. From the unusual rocks of Shilin to the big Tiger Leaping Gorge, and the snowy tops of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to the lakes at Pudacuo, every place looks good. The water of Erhai Lake and the quiet of Lugu Lake make you want to stay.
02

Different Ethnic Cultures

Yunnan has lots of ethnic groups, each with its own culture. Lijiang Ancient Town has the special feel of the Naxi people, Dali Ancient Town keeps old Bai stories, Lugu Lake shows how the Mosuo live, and Shangri-La has the serious feel of Tibetan ways. Painting thangkas or dancing by a bonfire lets you try local customs yourself.
03

Good Special Food

Yunnan’s food is different and good, mixing tastes from various ethnic groups. The Flower Feast is fresh and nice, Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles are thick and warm, the Long Street Banquet is fun and lively, the Tusi Banquet is big and bold, and the Walking Marriage Banquet at Lugu Lake is interesting. Every dish has a story, worth a taste whether you like food a lot or not.
04

Fun Travel Activities

Traveling in Yunnan has lots of fun things to do. You can take pictures at Dali’s Santorini, go boating on Erhai or Lugu Lake, ride horses at Lashi Lake, or see the scenery at Shangri-La’s Yila Grassland. You can also watch the “Impression Lijiang” show or walk around ancient towns to get a sense of history and culture.
